Just read a post sent by my friend Rishit and decided to start my short, small and meaningful conversations / experiences which I had till now in this journey. I am gonna keep adding the stuff as I come across new meaningful and soulful incidents like these:
1. MEHMAN - NAWAAZI
Was standing in queue with Eshan and waiting to get inside this Ramen noodle restaurant in Kyoto, Japan, where I met this young guy. He offered his help in deciding what options were there for veggies. Point where it struck me was, he paid our dinner bill saying that you are our guest here. Next time I am in states, you pay my bill.
Met a uber guy today named Ricardo Foster. What impressed me was that he was a total gentlemen. He told that he lost 130 pounds in almost one and a half years. A true inspiration in the sense for people like me who think that they have lost something and then loose their way ultimately.
3. Kal Kisne Dekha hai - October 1, 2015, 12:12 AM
Had a wonderful discussion with new roomie Sai. I was telling him about my crappy future plans and why I was saving now for a better future. He gave me so good reasons and told that you should live now in present, (Kal kisne dekha hai Sir). We should not think much in life. Now we might save a little but we are wasting our precious life in this THINKING thing. Live good, Smile. Be sorry to people for their mistakes, Forgive people, Love your family, be good to everyone, feel that everyday is a lucky day for you :) so many lessons learned.ahaaaa
4. Make Someone Smile - March 11, 2016, 03:10 PM
Was standing on street after my knee checkup and waiting for uber to pick me up. A black lady stopped and asked me 'Kya aap ko hindi aati hai. Mera naam Adriana hai aur yeh meri choti behen Deena hai. Aapse milke khushi hui. Aapko meri hindi kaisi lagi" I just stood up there and was not able to decide ki hindi me baat karun ya english me. Meri to hindi hi nahi nikal rahi thi uski hindi sunke. Thing which hit me was that she approached a total stranger guy on a lost street in Philadelpia and made that guy smile or gave him a reason to smile or be happy. We should try to incorporate this in our life as well :) :) :) :)
5. I met GOD - May 28, 2016, 11:42 AM
So I was hiking at Ten Thousand Buddha Monastery in Hong Kong and got so dehydrated that once I reached the summit/temple, I saw a shop and asked to purchase a water bottle. Gave shop lady 500 HK dollar bill but as she didn't had change she refused to do that transaction. A couple was sitting over there and while they ate they watched and listened to my helplessness. They couldn't understand english but figured out what I needed and asked shoplady to give me a water bottle. They even asked me join with them for lunch (and yes it was a total vegetarian restaurant) and with sign language they tried to convey that the food was veggie (all I remember now is EAT..NO MEAT, VEGETABLE). I know that 10HKD was not a big deal but I just felt that GOD himself//herself came to rescue me and the water tasted like AMRIT.
6. A CALL TO REMEMBER - July 26, 2016, 5:00 PM
Last Friday I went to DMV office to get my Driving Licence renewed and they requested a second verification to prove my lawful presence here in states. Today as a follow up I called DMV customer care and to my surprise I talked to a lady who while verifying my date of birth told me she was also born on 9th September and we shared some beautiful facts about this day and a smile came on face when she treated me so well on the call. Her name is Marla Linder and her birth date is 09-09-1963. She told me that she will wish me on my 31st Birthday. So Marla, I will wait for your call anxiously :)
